Chevrolet to Improve Trailering Safety and Integration

OKEMOS, Mich., – Chevrolet has just announced their latest partnership, one that will bring trailer owners more peace of mind while towing. By working with the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA) and the National Association of Trailer Manufacturers (NATM), Chevrolet will improve Trailering Safety and Integration. This partnership aims to bring trailer owners more truck-to-trailer integration, optimized safety features, and new technology features.

With help from industry leading associations, who have extensive experience in the field of towing and trailering safety, Chevrolet will work to develop new technologies for trailer owners. Features will include safety technologies, and trailer and truck integration. This will increase ease of use for trailer owners, and provide functions to alert owners of trailer tampering or theft.

“Safety and ease of use are key considerations for families that use RV trailers,” Bruce Hopkins, RVIA vice president, Standards, said. “We’re pleased to partner with Chevrolet and NATM on this project to create a safer, simpler and easier towing experience.”

OKEMOS, Mich., – Chevrolet celebrated the “International Day of Positive Thinking” on September 13th. By implementing a Global Positivity System online with help from IBM Watson, Chevrolet hoped to promote positivity and positive thinking among buyers.

The online positivity system analyzes your social media presence and scores you on a scale of 1-200, 200 being extremely positive. 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV

OKEMOS, Mich., – The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV will offer green drivers the opportunity to save even more energy with its new one-pedal driving system. Although this alternative braking method, often referred to as Regen Braking or Regenerative Braking, is not a replacement for a traditional brake pedal, it offers the appeal of increased efficiency and range.

Regen Braking systems help to reuse energy in green cars by redirecting it back to the engine, rather than wasting it during the traditional braking process. It is not suggested that the brake pedal can be eliminated altogether, but 2017 Bolt EV drivers will have four different modes to choose from to get the most out of their one-pedal driving experience:

• Operating in Drive and easing off the accelerator
• Operating in Drive and using the new Regen on Demand paddle on the steering wheel
• Operating in Low and easing off the accelerator
• Operating in Low and using the Regen on Demand paddle

The use of these different modes can provide the 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV with 200 miles of range, a 5 percent increase from its predecessor.
