Chevrolet Camaro RS & Colorado Found Their Home at Comerica Park

Chevrolet Vehicles Found Their Home at Comerica Park

OKEMOS, Mich. – Spring is in the air and that means baseball season is just around the corner! In the city of Detroit, baseball fans everywhere anticipate Chevrolet's tradition that signifies the beginning of Detroit Tigers baseball with the display setup at the Chevrolet Fountain. On March 30th, the Chevrolet Camaro RS & Colorado found their home at Comerica Park.

For the 2016 baseball season Chevrolet has put on display a hyper blue metallic Camaro RS and an inferno orange metallic Colorado. Chevrolet hopes to inspire fans as well as athletes with their “power and performance” themed display. Putting the vehicles on top of the Chevrolet Fountain is a three-hour process as both vehicles are raised by crane and securely exhibited.

Before Chevrolet, the fountain was called the General Motors Fountain from the years 2000-2008. During 2009 General Motors cut back on advertising and the Detroit Tigers displayed other automaker logos including Chrysler and Ford Motor Co. The Chevrolet Fountain has been displaying Chevrolet vehicles since 2012. Chevrolet has sponsored the fountain since 2010. Previous vehicle display models include Silverado, Equinox, Impala, Malibu, and Corvette.

The Chevrolet Fountain projects a tiger growl with each Detroit home run and features various water displays. In 2015 Chevrolet showcased their vehicles to almost 3 million fans. The tradition has carried on strong this year as the Chevrolet Camaro RS & Colorado have found their home at Comerica Park on top of the Chevrolet Fountain.
