Chevrolet Topped the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study

OKEMOS, Mich. – Chevrolet has proven again that they reign supreme when it comes to quality and reliability. From February to May of 2016 Chevrolet vehicles were put to the test and the results proved that Chevrolet topped the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study. Taking home leading numbers in four different segments, Chevrolet has more vehicle models in the highest ranking in its segments than any other brand. This is also the fourth consecutive year in a row that Chevrolet has taken home more J.D. Power Initial Quality awards than other vehicle brands. Take a look below at the vehicles that brought home the awards in their segment:

Silverado:
The Silverado 1500 and the Silverado HD both received top remarks for their light-duty and heavy-duty truck segments and ultimately sweeping the full-size truck categories. 

Tahoe:
The Tahoe dominated the SUV segment by earning 19 points higher than the point average. The Tahoe also won the award in its segment overall.

Equinox:
Tied for the lead in the compact SUV segment, the Equinox scored 15 points better than the segment average.

Spark:
The highest winner of the study was the Chevrolet Spark. The Spark won it’s city car segment with a skyrocketing win that was 48 points higher than the segment’s average. 

The J.D. Power Initial Quality Study has ran for 30 years by examining problems that may be experienced by vehicle owners. During the vehicle’s 90 day testing, the study is performed on over 100 cars, trucks, SUVs, and crossovers. The study is organized into eight problem categories and works to provide manufacturers with information to help identify problems and improve their product. Chevrolet topped the J.D. Power Initial Quality Study for 2016, and looks to take the lead again for more years to come.
