2016 Chevy Camaro Takes Its Top Off

OKEMOS, Mich.– You’ve seen the 2016 Chevy Camaro, but you haven’t taken in the entire picture yet. Get ready for next spring when the 2016 Chevy Camaro takes its top off and transforms into a convertible.

While you drive the top performance car on the market next spring, enjoy the breeze thanks to an electro-hydraulic power roof system that takes shape after the sleek design of the 2016 Camaro coupe’s body. And don’t worry if it’s too cold out to remove the top, the multilayer construction of the roof keeps things comfortable and quiet for you inside.

“The 2016 Camaro coupe will set the benchmark for the segment in terms of technology, performance and design,” said Todd Chritensen, Camaro marketing manager. “Adding the most sophisticated top in the segment brings another level of refinement.”

We’re talking about one sophisticated convertible top with:

Fully automatic operation and latches that automatically release and secure it
The Capability to open or close at speeds up to 30 mph
Remote opening with the key fob
A hard tonneau cover that deploys automatically to keep appearances up when the top is lowered and stowed

When the 2016 Chevy Camaro takes its top off it will still have the coupe’s stiff, light structure that reduces total vehicle weight by 200 pounds compared to its predecessor. Now, you can also get some sun while you drive.

2016 Camaro to Create Jobs in Lansing

OKEMOS, Mich.– Chevrolet recently announced it has big plans for the 2016 Camaro to create jobs in Lansing! For the first time in 23 years, the Camaro is coming home to be manufactured in the U.S. and in the state where the auto industry first put down roots! If you ask us, there’s no better place for Chevy to manufacture America’s top-selling performance car.

Chevrolet’s goal is for the 2016 Camaro to create jobs in Lansing, and to do so they plan to invest $175 million into the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant! The investment will fund new tooling and equipment needed to manufacture the 2016 Camaro, which will be utilized by hundreds of new workers! Right off the bat, Chevy expects to start an additional 500 workers by late summer!

Upgrades to the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant will include the installation of two robotic framers that enhance dimensional control during manufacturing, and three new paint systems for specific 2016 Camaro colors– Summit White, Bright Yellow and Red Hot.

It’s great to see Chevrolet bringing the 2016 Camaro and jobs to our local Lansing and surrounding communities right near Graff Okemos! With the new Camaro being manufactured in our own backyard, we expect to have a fleet hot off the press that we can add to our current inventory of New Chevy Cars and New Chevy Trucks at our Dealership!

2016 Chevrolet Camaro Performance Review

2016 Chevrolet Camaro Debut at Belle Isle Park

OKEMOS, Mich. – It's going down this weekend at Detroit's Belle Isle Park! The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Debut, that is. Have you seen the sixth-gen Camaro teaser photos? Trust us, you are not going to want to miss this Saturday's public event!

This Saturday, May 16th, the redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will make its public debut at Belle Isle Park, giving us all our first look at the sixth generation model. One look at the new Camaro's teaser photos and you can tell that it's updated design is going to be impressive, but the word on the street is that the muscle car's performance is just as impressive.

Engineering the next-gen Camaro was no easy feat. In fact, the car spent 350 hours in the wind tunnel - often for 24 hours at a time - all to deliver an even better aerodynamic experience. On top of that, engineers tested hundreds of changes, just millimeters at a time. But in the end it was all worth it because the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will offer improved stability thanks to a 30% improvement in total aerodynamic lift!
