The Chevrolet Camaro Through The Years

The Chevrolet Camaro Through The Years

OKEMOS, Mich. – This year Chevrolet is celebrating the 50th anniversary of one of its most classic performance vehicles, the Camaro. Proven to become an American icon, the Camaro has stood the test of time as a fan favorite. The Camaro has survived six different generations and does not look like it is slowing down. The newest 2016 Camaro model is the most advanced yet and you can get a close up look at Graff Chevrolet Okemos. But before you get in the driver’s seat, let’s take a look at the Chevrolet Camaro through the years.

The Chevrolet Camaro Through The Years

First Generation:
The first generation of the Camaro was during 1967-1969. It was a time when muscle cars, drag racing cars, and road racing cars were becoming popular. The 1967 and 1969 Camaro models also each served at the Indy 500 pace car, creating a long lasting relationship with Chevrolet and Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Second Generation:
The longest running model in Camaro history was the second generation, running from 1970-1981. The European-influenced styling gave the Camaro it’s best year ever in 1979 with 282,571 sold.

Third Generation:

The third generation Camaro ran from 1982 -1992. It premiered an all-new architecture with a more aggressive styling. This was also the generation that introduced the first Camaro hatchback.

Fourth Generation:
The fourth generation improved the Camaro’s performance with higher-power engines. The new style incorporated a fast-raked windshield, which gave the car a sleeker profile. The fourth generation ran from 1993 – 2002, and the car saw a redesign in 1998.

Fifth Generation:
The Camaro saw a hiatus from 2002 to 2009, until the newest 2010 model was introduced. The fifth generation ran from 2010 to 2015 and focused more on the heritage of the performance vehicle. The fifth generation Camaro went on to sell more than 500,000 models and outpaced its rivals for 5 years in a row.

Sixth Generation:
We now welcome the newest generation with the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro. This Camaro features a stronger architecture, top of the line technologies, and the highest-ever levels of performance. The 2016 Camaro has earned the 2016 Motor Trend Car of the Year award and will lead the way for up coming 2017 models.

2016 Chevrolet Camaro Debut at Belle Isle Park

2016 Chevrolet Camaro Debut at Belle Isle Park

OKEMOS, Mich. – It's going down this weekend at Detroit's Belle Isle Park! The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro Debut, that is. Have you seen the sixth-gen Camaro teaser photos? Trust us, you are not going to want to miss this Saturday's public event!

This Saturday, May 16th, the redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will make its public debut at Belle Isle Park, giving us all our first look at the sixth generation model. One look at the new Camaro's teaser photos and you can tell that it's updated design is going to be impressive, but the word on the street is that the muscle car's performance is just as impressive.

Engineering the next-gen Camaro was no easy feat. In fact, the car spent 350 hours in the wind tunnel - often for 24 hours at a time - all to deliver an even better aerodynamic experience. On top of that, engineers tested hundreds of changes, just millimeters at a time. But in the end it was all worth it because the 2016 Chevrolet Camaro will offer improved stability thanks to a 30% improvement in total aerodynamic lift!

New 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Colors Are Coming!

New 2016 Chevrolet Corvette Colors Are Coming!

OKEMOS, Mich. – The current C7 Corvette has had no issues gaining momentum, and it's definitely got the looks to back it's sensational popularity. If you ask us, nothing about the current model needs to be changed. However, some new Chevrolet Corvette colors are coming for the next model year!

Gotta keep it fresh, right? To build on it's impressive reputation, the 2016 Chevrolet Corvette will offer new colors on both the interior and exterior! While the current Velocity Yellow exterior color will no longer be an option, performance enthusiasts will be able to choose from Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat and Long Beach Red. Before you go getting upset that Velocity Yellow won't be offered anymore, let us just say that Corvette Racing Yellow Tintcoat looks extremely similar. Extremely. Long Beach Red however, is a completely new option for the 'Vette with its deep burgundy tones and metal flakes which we would expect to shine bright in the right lighting.

While those who prefer warm interior tones will still have Adrenaline Red as an option, they'll also be able choose from a new red-interior color: Spice Red. Darker and more cocoa-toned than Adrenaline Red, Spice Red will be offered as its own color and will not be part of the two-tone color package.
